May The Odds Be Ever In Your Favor

THE HUNGER GAMES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My current obsession.
I swear to God I've never been this excited for anything in my life! The Hunger Games is gonna be out in theaters on March 23rd. The thing is, I don't surely know if it hits theaters in my country that date as well too :( I asked one of the workers in XXI the other day, at she said she's still doesn't know. !@#$%^&*()_ Seriously? I've waited for this movie ever since they haven't even picked the casts yet! Ugh, okay let's just hope it'll come out in Indonesia the same as it will worldwide; March 23rd 2012.
The casts of the movie are just.......PERFECT. Lemme show you:

Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss Everdeen
JOSH HUTCHERSON!!!!!!!! as Peeta Mellark
Liam Hemsworth as Gale Hawthorne
Alexander Ludwig! as Cato (District 2)
Amandla Stenberg as Rue (District 11)
Woody Harrelson as Haymitch Abernathy
Elizabeth Banks as Effie Trinket
Lenny Kravitz as Cinna
Isabelle Fuhrman as Clove (District 2)
Jacqueline Emerson as Foxface (District 5)
Willow Shields as Primrose Everdeen

And sooooooooo much more perfection from the whole production!

Personal story now. I bought The Hunger Games book as soon as I know it's out in my country. Unfortunately, I was super dumb and bought the Indonesian-translated one, because I searched for the English one and it's sold out everywhere and I gave up and became desperate and though "Oh, what the heck", so I bought the Indonesian one. Regardless to it, I become lazy to actually read the book cause it's Indonesian (I'm not being racist or anything). It's just that, to me, reading an Indonesian book is not as challenging or as fun as when I'm reading an English book. Not only because English books widen my vocabulary, it also makes it all better. Like the fact that when you read something dramatic in English, it just automatically became more dramatic, meanwhile in Indonesian, it's sometimes become lame :/ The language isn't gloriously written. Anywho, back to my story. I spent months ignoring the book hanging in my drawer. Until the beginning of March, when I thought to myself that I HAVE to read the book before the movie comes out. I also thought I couldn't possibly finish 400 pages in 3 weeks while there will be mid-term test going on! Of course, I could read 400 pages in less than 2 weeks if it is without mid-term. But yeah, so I thought I couldn't do it, but I did it anyway. Turns out, I finish the book in 5 days, while mid-term is in the process. I can't believe the ending. I literally threw the book (not to the trash, just slamming it down basically) because of how anxious I was about the ending. Peeta & Katniss you two are so asdfghjkl <3 I refuse to read the 2nd book (Catching Fire) & 3rd book (Mockingjay) without watching The Hunger Games movie first. So here I am, waiting anxiously for March 23rd, and then I'm going to directly spend my time reading the next 2 books and back to waiting anxiously for the 2nd movie that is rumored to be released on November 2013 :'''''''''')

  1. Greetings Nadya,
I found your blog searching for a way to get a Hunger Games translation in Indonesian. I live in Seattle, WA USA, and I am trying to learn Indonesian, but I need a challenge to motivate me to buckle down and learn the vocabulary. Do you know of a way to get a version of the Hunger Games books in Bahasa mailed to me in America?
    Thanks,
    Jarrod
